The fourth edition of the festival that brings together gravel bike and cycling enthusiasts along the trails and nature of Mugello is set to begin!
Three days of celebration for gravel, mountain bike, and touring cyclists along the Via degli Dei. Three routes to explore the hidden and breathtaking dirt roads of Mugello, amidst the Apennine forests, ancient villages, and transhumance paths.
This year brings a great novelty, STERRO MONTANO, the first TRAIL designed by the experts of the Apennines at Strade Montane. It will take you on a bikepacking journey to the base camp of Sterro Appalla, starting from Bologna on Thursday, May 9th.
Just like last year, the Base Camp will be set up on the lush shores of Lake Bilancino.
Sterro Appalla is designed to introduce you to the best trails and most amazing attractions of the surrounding territory and Mugello in complete autonomy.
Routes of various difficulties and lengths are proposed to welcome every type of adventurer. The GPS tracks wind through mainly unpaved paths, ensuring passage through unreachable and otherwise unknown places.
WELCOME TO STERRO APPALLA! At the BASE CAMP, you can pitch your tent or park your van/camper, unload your bikes, and enjoy three days of itineraries, activities, workshops, talks, and savor local specialties.
STERRO APPARTY! In the evening, we'll celebrate because celebrating together is the soul of Sterro Appalla!
COME BY TRAIN! Getting to Lake Bilancino is easy with the bike + train intermodality solution.
MAKE MUGELLO PLASTIC-FREE! On Sunday, before dismantling and leaving no trace of our presence, we'll cycle and walk along the lake shores to CLEAN up the banks from plastic left in nature.
