Poggio a Sieve stands in lightly wooded grounds above the River Sieve beyond the 13th century bridge to Vicchio. The family chapel with its little bell-tower forms one wing of this architecturally distinguished building. The grounds offer shaded places to sit out and enjoy the superb views of the Apennines. In 1 km you can joint the railway station of Vicchio, reaching Florence in 45 minutes.The house is furnished in a typically rustic country style, comfortable and welcoming in any season. The resort has the swimming pool and besides there's an excellent sports centre just down the road. Casa Limone:It is situated in the wing of this large family house. It is approached from the court-yard, where its own doorway opens directly into a comfortably furnished sitting room with large panel-portraits painted by the owner's mother. The heart of the house is the dining/living room which can focus either on the large oval table or on the great open fireplace, making a welcoming room in any season. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Double bedroom, full of character with stone fireplace and terracotta tiled floor. Bathroom with shower.
